Charles E. Wolpert, CPA - Partner
Chuck is a 1981 graduate of St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, IN. Chuck began his professional career in Indianapolis. Working there for several firms over an 8 year time frame, he was introduced to the wide range of services required by privately owned business.
In 1989, Chuck answered a call from a college friend (Tom Reed) to join him and his father at Reed & Company in Lafayette. Chuck became a partner in 1990. Chuck's experiences in Lafayette ranged from personal taxation to audited financial statements, but still largely revolved around the business and personal needs of family and closely held businesses. Industry concentrations in construction, agriculture and restaurants have developed through personal and business tax preparation.
Chuck's community services have seen him accept officer roles in Big Brother, Big Sisters of Wabash Valley, Lafayette Country Club, Lafayette Symphony Orchestra, Tippecanoe Chamber Music Society, in addition to many ad hoc volunteer committee assignments. In recent years, Chuck has enjoyed being an annual presenter at the Purdue Krannert School of Management's "Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans" - a program that provides free comprehensive instruction and guidance for disabled veterans interested in starting a business.
